I am very grateful to the Lord for my hands! In 2006, my brother and I had a serious dirt bike accident in which I almost lost four fingers. God provided an incredible hand surgeon (who "just happened" to be near our small town) and 350 stitches later, I was ready to go! Only part of one finger was lost. Around that time we had an old upright piano that ended up in the garage. My siblings and I loved to stop off and bang away when we had free time or we were supposed to be doing chores. We learned to plunk out the beautiful hymns we were singing at church, and eventually got the invitation to do our concerts inside the house!

I praise the Lord for greatly protecting me that day, for providing many opportunities to create music since I was young, and for allowing me to share these favorite songs with you.  -Carver

Hello from the Bowers!

A very happy HELLO from all the Bowers! 
Snippets from the past several months have been circling the airspace and Instagram and simply must land!
We cannot possibly call this "Here and There", 
"Potpourri of Something Glorious" or the Bowers classic after months of forgetting our beloved blog... "Catching Up!!" 
But! In Southern speak, we do hope to give you a little update. :)

 and do NOT generally wander through the yard 
looking so poised and professional. :)

 The Lord provided tickets to PEI for Daddy and I to attend the Memorial Service of my dear Momma friend, Rosalind Wood. Very sweet time walking and talking with her lovely girls.

Their life giving, godly Momma was so precious and her influence so significant. We were incredibly blessed by the joy
and peace in their hearts, and pray for them daily.

Bami and Poppy stayed home with everyone during our trip.
Fantastic time hiking, eating Bami's yummy cooking,
playing games, doing puzzles and swimming.

MIGHTY MAN 2019

Three days of straining, stressing, running over the river and through the woods (literally), landing in mud, wearing mud, smiling with Charlie hollering and climbing mountains all together at midnight. Epic. :)

Excellent teaching on pursuing wisdom.

Thank you to Denver, Joshua and Charlie for organizing
 such a great opportunity for these guys to learn so much. 
Looking forward to next year!

 Colorado friends who were recently transplanted to Minnesota!
 They have loved and fed and cheered for us for years, 
and we are MOST blessed when we get to spend time with them.

Thankful for a patient teacher who tries VERY hard to help us get it. :)
