Oh, the JOYS of road life! :) |
Amazing event at "The Barn" in Evergreen, CO. |
Favorite part of this event was.....wildlife in the yard! |
Thankful our bad hair days don't usually get THIS bad! |
On occasion AGENDA meetings even come complete with a herd of buffalo! |
Top selling point by Chapman: "It's great for the grandkids!" |
Carver reciting Bible Bee verses for our Colorado friends. Love our jam sessions, bass lessons, cooking fabulous new things and GREAT conversations here. And wading through their in-house library! |
Our ever hungry boys set up shop in the parking lot to make waffle iron grilled cheese sandwiches. Still no bus A/C, outside temp over 110! Sanctifying. To say the least! |
Caver attempting original forms of exercise. We presume this is a pull-up of some sort?! |
Our favorite speaker. One more time. :) |
Book table...all set up and ready to roll. |
Blessed, blessed by a quick visit with these friends. Inspired by the way they stand up for Jesus in everything! |
So love it when other families pass the hymnals and we all sing together! |
Found this nice school desk for Carver on our way to hike Red Mountain. :) |
Soaking up amazing views before we got lost and climbed to the top of the WRONG mountain! |
So beautiful and peaceful! |
Rearranging the mountainside. The rest of us were figuring out how to NOT get lost on the way back. Thankfully Daddy knew this mountain well and hiked up to save us. |
Crosby decided to lay down on the trail and met an extended family of ants. Praise the Lord we got them all out of her HAIR (!) and she was still smiling. Mostly. :) |
Daddy and Mother celebrating their 27th Anniversary with a marvelous hike near Pikes Peak.... |
...and a visit to the church they got married in... |
....and to the Broadmoor for an out of the bus Anniversary dinner at the same table where Daddy proposed 27 years ago! |
Back to reality?! On our way to Kansas. |
Love it when we recruit all the big readers at once! |
Gigantic winds pulled a huge side awning loose while we were driving and we praise the Lord for protecting us and every other driver on the road! |
Reorganizing session #464. Names and stories shall be withheld to protect the guilty. |
Keeping outfits ready to go is an ongoing project. We only left one cowboy boot behind so far and thankfully it wasn't Daddy's. :) |
YAY! |
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." Hosea 4:6 |
Fellowship time! |
Bible Bee time outside. Carolina has been such a great example in encouraging and helping Chapman along with his study and memorization! |
Gelato time, too! |
"What do you think this thing runs on? Coal?" :) |
Late night driving and coloring time. Sometimes we end up long on miles and short on time. This was our KS to MI in a day. |
Meanwhile, back at the farm (except it's not ours!), Charlie had a wonderful week of sweating and working on projects in IA. A few of his pics are below. |
Occasionally if the bus does't fit somewhere, we get the fun of walking to our meetings. Feedback abounds (ha!) when the big boys herd us across the streets and Carver steers the dolly. |
We all love listening to Daddy share the inspiring stories he has collected! |
As we get older, we find there are lots of cooks in the kitchen when it comes to picking the right song. But...we praise the Lord for allowing us to serve Him in this way! |

We must try waffle irongrilled cheese!!! I just live this post.....so many great photos and one-liners!!! Lived the buffalo bad hair day, and the pictures of our farm were pretty fun too! Can't wait to see y'all soon! Keep writing, Cass- you do a phenomenal job!

Oh dear, no AC in KS???? You are an amazingly, sanctified family by now! Thanks for your honesty about the "glamours" of road life but most of all, for standing up for Jesus. And I love it that Curtis is sharing that same quote by William Booth which Denver has been sharing in our concerts before "Stand Up for Jesus".
We are waiting anxiously for your arrival in Kalona. The sooner the better!! Think fresh veggies, mud baths, clean laundry, AC, games, campfire, hymn sings, etc. And Labor Day!!!
Praying for you!
