In April of 2015, we moved from Idaho to Tennessee to finish a film. In April of 2016, we were at the start of a 10 month speaking and singing tour. In April of 2017, we finished our Iowa farmhouse and moved in just as both girls got engaged and dove in the deep end of double wedding preparations. Each of these chapters is one we look back on with sweet, sweet memories and grateful hearts as we recount God's innumerable blessings.
The Lord recently opened the door for us to spend the next year in Alabama. Curtis has had a very difficult stretch of health and breathing issues in Iowa, and we are very grateful for God's provision of an excellent doctor and a nearby home to rent for this season.
Next week, April of 2018, we will be transitioning. My children say my Southern tendencies still have me sugar coating the facts, but transitioning sounds so much NICER than moving, especially when it really does seem to happen every Spring! We will be selling our little blue farmhouse when the grass gets greener here, and amidst the scurry, I am certainly consoled by many things. One is seeing the Southwest Airline App on my phone, so I know Crosby and I can fly home fast to hold those darling babies coming in July. :)
We have so loved our time here...and our church...and our new marvelous sons....and the wonderful fellowship that has encouraged us greatly! We know the Lord has precious, specific plans for each and every family, including ours. We rejoice in the many ways God has always directed our paths and look forward to finding out all the other reasons He is sending us to the South.
"For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them who walk uprightly." Psalm 84:11

But oh, oh, it saddens me that it is many more miles away. :( May I please come see your transformed farmhouse (+ help with packing) before you go? ;) ;) Praying for Mr. Bower's health. Awesome! We're in Shelby County but spend time on farm in Clay County, Looking forward to meeting y'all.
Will Curtis be speaking while you're here in AL? Will y'all be singing here too? Thanks!
We will be praying for the lovely and amazing Bowers family! We want Mr. Bowers to get better!!! =) Loved our time with y'all in December/January and hope for more happy fellowship soon :) Blessings! <3
We will be doing some singing/speaking while in AL, but not as much as past years! ;)
Would you mind sharing what health problems? Are they life threatening? Prayers!
Chronic Bronchitis/Asthma. Iowa air is extremely dry and dusty and can be "life threatening" for him at times. Humidity/AL. air seems to help. Thank you for your prayers!
Will you be posting/emailing your speaking/singing dates/location for AL when you get settled? Thanks!
If I had some kleenex, I might just have a good cry right here in Starbucks. But like you, I am trusting God because He always has a plan. And so thankful that your precious daughters live up the road from me, so when you come to visit you might stop by for a walk?? :) Love to all of you!
Will you be posting your speaking engagements in Alabama? Would love to attend one. Will be praying for God's direction in your life as well as Curtis's health.
